Arc Network is preparing for mainnet launch.

Circle’s native layer 1 network designed for payments has announced it will be open-sourcing its codebase. This means that developers can now run a test node to explore the efficiency of the chain, including finding potential security flaws before Arc goes live.

Earlier this month, Arc had experienced a high point in its daily testnet transaction volume history. Around $3.3M transactions were recorded on April 7, the highest in the last 6 months since an initial spike to 18M on October 19. Total transactions reached 311M with an average 0.5s block time.

With a large ecosystem composed of many industry participants, as well as powerhouse institutions from traditional finance, Arc is positioning itself as a leading chain specifically built for transferring stablecoins onchain. Native fees are settled in USDC.
