Stablecoins are now live in Cash App.
Cash App has released a product update allowing stablecoin transfers and conversions to occur inside of its mobile app.
Users are able to send and receive in USDC stablecoin using recipient and deposit wallet addresses. 4 chains are supported including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon and Arbitrum.
Transactions are ultimately settled as regular U.S. Dollars and are added to/taken away from user’s regular Cash App balances.
As it stands, there is a limited time discount on fees associated with USDC stablecoin transfers on these networks, and the service is also restricted to certain states only with no applicable FDIC insurance.
The team has delivered on its CashApp stablecoin acceptance announcement in late 2025, when it became clear to the parent company Block that more people in the U.S. are more likely to utilize stablecoins for P2P (peer-to-peer) transfers.
