Circle has received a MiCA license update.
Circle has announced a MiCA license update for its operations under French regulator AMF (Autorité Des Marchés Financiers) per their blog. The stablecoin issuer is now able to offer regulated stablecoin custody and transfer services for USDC and EURC stablecoins to its European clients.
With the MiCA deadline looming large at the start of July, this allows the stablecoin issuer to operate freely across the European Union to offer stablecoin services to corporates and institutional clients.
This also builds on top of Circle’s current momentum over in the U.S., where with the Clarity Act now likely in sight, there will be a greater effort to scale its stablecoin solutions and onchain infrastructure on Arc Network and across other major financial hubs like Europe.
