The well-established HR and payroll service, Deel, is deepening its stablecoin offerings, making its wallet feature available in 80+ countries and allowing contractors to be paid in its native DLUSD stablecoin.

Core features include regular invoice payments and payouts, stablecoin earnings on account balance, as well as a Deel card with stablecoin spending.

The company closed a $300M series E round in 2025 and currently provides workplace solutions to over 40K companies internationally.

Some businesses mainly have local employees, while others rely on international contractors. Stablecoins are flexible enough to work for any combination.

Over the course of this year, Deel has already worked with top firms in the space, including Coinbase, MoonPay, Bridge, Morpho, BVNK, and others.

Contractors vs. Employees

Deel offers HR and payroll services worldwide.

So far in 2026, Deel released updates targeting stablecoin payout features for both types of workers. But this was done gradually and in different stages.

Recently, Deel announced that it supports payroll payments in USDT and USDC via blockchain networks such as Polygon.

This was a restricted integration for full-time employees in the U.S., UK, and Europe only.

A few weeks later, the company launched a similar capability designed for contractors starting in Argentina for LATAM.

Now, it is scaling to 80+ countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.

According to Deel’s own hiring report published earlier this year, the U.S. dollar dominates as a payment and withdrawal currency for contractors; usage is as high as 84.6% in Argentina.

Other top regions for contractors adopting stablecoins include Cameroon, South Korea, Turkey, Vietnam, and Tajikistan.
