KG Group selects Solana for stablecoin payments.

KG Group will officially use the Solana network to handle a portion of its annual payment volume originating from South Korea. The financial company has over 200K merchants on its network and will aim to use stablecoins to increase payment speed delivery.

There are also plans to introduce potential rewards-based mechanism for merchants running on the network. This would mean that customers of small and large-sized brands in South Korea could receive cashback or points based on certain activity.

More broadly, onchain loyalty programs could become a popular offering for stablecoin card and infrastructure providers, especially as white-label solutions appeal to larger corporates.
