Tether is launching their Tether Wallet address system.

Tether has announced a new product called Tether Wallet, a naming system that replaces traditional crypto addresses with usernames. Users on the self-custodial wallet app will now be able to send USDT stablecoin transfers to other users with a new @tether.me username.

The wallet technology behind this is natively built by the Tether team as part of their WDK (Wallet Development Kit) that they had announced a few months back.

This allows for holders of Tether’s products to transfer balances in a more user-friendly UI mobile environment, including for USDT, XAUT, and for individuals based in the U.S., USAT stablecoins.
