Western Union’s USDPT stablecoin is live.

The global remittance company is officially launching their USDPT stablecoin on the Solana network. This is in collaboration with leading industry partners Fireblocks for wallet infrastructure, as well as Anchorage for handling stablecoin issuance and custody services.

CEO David McGranahan expressed in a press release:

While Anchorage continues to display its federally regulated stablecoin capabilities, Fireblocks is now able to make use of its Tres Finance acquisition and similar purchase of Dynamic in late 2025 for embedded stablecoin wallet operations.

Western Union USDPT stablecoin plans were initially revealed in April, focusing on a multi-phase roadmap of stablecoin adoption. It is expected that their top transfer agents will have initial access, and later the rollout will include the StableCard for consumers in developing countries, such as LATAM and Asia Pacific.
