Western Union has partnered with Crossmint.

The global remittance powerhouse is going ahead with its stablecoin rollout that it initially had disclosed back in October 2025. Partnering with leading stablecoin infrastructure company Crossmint, USDPT will soon be in Western Union’s mobile app for users globally.

Specifically, Crossmint will give the Western Union team technical assistance and look to provide support for its USDPT stablecoin natively.

A month ago, the team had successfully achieved their MiCA license to operate in Europe, helping support Western Union’s 360K physical stores and agents for sending and receiving money.
