ZeroHash has announced its partnership with Gusto, the global HR and payroll provider.
ZeroHash is making getting paid in stablecoins possible. The focus of this partnership will be to improve the timeline for when contractors and freelancers typically get paid, which varies depending on the location and banking accounts involved.
It is not mentioned yet which particular stablecoins over which particular blockchain networks will be utilised and the integration is still in beta. However, one can assume they will use the most efficient stablecoin conversion and top stablecoins for trust and reliability.
Founder and CEO Edward Woodford expressed:
As the workforce becomes more global and more digital, traditional payment rails can no longer meet the speed and accessibility modern businesses require. Gusto is one of the most forward-thinking platforms for small businesses, and we’re proud to power the infrastructure that enables faster, more flexible payouts across borders.”
Gusto is not the first enterprise client to utilise stablecoins for global payouts. Earlier on in 2025, ZeroHash had partnered with Remote. In its Remote stablecoin payouts case study, ZeroHash shows how monthly salary paid in stablecoins (USDC) on Ethereum works.
Gusto brings about 400,000 businesses worldwide that use everything from standard payroll processes to tracking employee expenses, financial and non-financial benefits (health, savings, etc.), as well as more financial features in “Gusto Money“.
Stablecoin salary is an increasingly interesting topic, for which ZeroHash provides a very clear example of how to have your salary paid in stablecoins. This development also highlights how many companies over the last 10 years have been hiring overseas.
Another thing to think about is whether traditional salaries will be continued to be paid monthly, rather than a weekly, or even daily payout. With programmable money and smart contracts, the need to wait until the end of the month to receive payroll is under question.
