Circle’s EURC stablecoin has increased in supply.
The world’s largest Euro-backed stablecoin has officially surpassed the €400M mark in available stablecoins on the market.
Standing at €402M ($465M) in supply per Circle’s latest self-reporting metrics, EURC continues to grow across enterprise and institutional payments.
It’s currently leading other Euro stablecoins such as EURCV from SG-Forge.
Non-Dollar Stablecoins
Local currency stablecoins are still a fraction of the market.
In August 2026, this accounts for $2.7B according to Dune stablecoin metrics.
The top 5 stablecoin denominations outside of U.S. dollars are the Euro (EUR) at $1.3B, Russian Ruble (RUB) at $1.1B, Brazilian Real at $129.4M (BRL), Swiss Franc (CHF) at $44.7M, and Japanese Yen (JPY) at $39.1M.
Issuers of national fiat currencies are nonetheless preparing the roadworks for a multistablecoin economy to form onchain.
On the other side, platforms such as Coinbase, Codex, Borderless, and Mento Labs are all developing their own ecosystems of local currency stablecoin liquidity.
At the same time, liquidity pools for local currencies across LATAM, Africa, and Asia-Pacific will continue to depend on strong pairs including the U.S. Dollar and the Euro.
